Oliver Austria

Oliver Austria is a children’s book author whose stories celebrate diversity, culture, and imagination. With over a decade in children’s storytelling and merchandise design, his picture book Odo (2016) became an internationally acclaimed HBO Max animated series. The show has won multiple awards, including Best Children’s Pre-School Series at the 2024 British Animation Awards and four Telly Awards. Now on YouTube TV, Odo continues reaching global audiences.
Brandon Chambers
Brandon Chambers was born and raised in Utah, where he developed a love for reading at a young age. He writes middle grade and young adult novels in a variety of genres—mostly fantasy and adventure. When not writing books, he can be found running a small business teaching martial arts to students of all ages. He lives in his hometown with his wife, daughter, and mini cockapoo.
Agathe Chave-Lucas
Agathe Chave-Lucas is a French and Spanish writer born in Nice, France. She is studying for a PhD in Mathematical Ecology at the ENS in Paris and is co-curating an exhibit at the Louvre Museum. Previously, she obtained an MSt in Creative Writing from the University of Cambridge, as well as a master’s degree in Applied Math from École Polytechnique. In addition to her creative work, published in Carmina Magazine and Songs of Survival, among others, she has published scientific articles in French and English.
Henry Clark



Henry Clark is the author of multiple critically acclaimed novels for middle grade readers, which Kirkus has called “refreshingly bonkers” and “a good choice for fans of The Phantom Tollbooth and The Westing Game.” The first writing Henry ever sold was to Mad Magazine, and that one sale has informed everything he has ever written since. He particularly enjoys writing about himself in the third person.
Elisabeth Craster





Elisabether Craster is Elisabeth Craster is a middle school Art and Art History teacher and an Illustration graduate from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She holds a Master’s in Liberal Studies (Art History) and focused her academic research on stories of human and animal relationships preserved in art, anything from terracotta figures to Baroque oil paintings to old newspaper clippings.
Rebecca Ensign

Rebecca Ensign is a business owner and licensed mental health counselor from New Hampshire. She is also the author of the picture book Otis Has a Bad Day about what children can do to navigate difficult emotions. Along with her career in mental health, she is a mom to a six-year-old boy and her favorite moments are spent with her family. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys drinking copious amounts of coffee, watching too many crime shows, and scaring her husband with trips to various book stores and Spirit Halloween.
Ashley Evanson





Ashley Evanson is the author and illustrator of the Hello, World series of board books from Penguin Workshop. She received a degree in journalism from Brigham Young University. Her style is whimsical and nostalgic, and the magic of childhood inspires her artwork. She lives in Denver with her husband and four children.
Allison Grinsdale Pistohl





Allison Grinsdale Pistohl is a writer, artist, mom, wife, and doodle dog lover living in Southern California. She is part of a national arts program that encourages students to unleash their creative talents through the joy of making art while bringing community awareness to the importance of arts education. She loves creating worlds of whimsy and emotion that leave the viewer with a sense of wonder about the possibilities that lie just beyond the edge of the printed page.
Stephen Ingram





Stephen Ingram is an author and illustrator who spends his days as an adult services public librarian, where he teaches patrons digital literacy skills and maintains the libraries’ digital presence. He is the Regional Advisor for the Long Island Chapter of SCBWI, helping to arrange programming for members, and participating in the larger organization with events and training. He is also a member of the Children’s Book Illustration Group, an organization concentrating on illustration.
Ginger Johnson


Ginger Johnson is the author of middle-grade novels The Other Side of Luck, which Booklist says “is sweetly satisfying, particularly excelling at stunning descriptions of sensory awareness” and The Splintered Light, which Kirkus calls “a gorgeously built world that asks readers to plumb the nature of creation.” She is also the founder of the genesis retreat, an annual writing and creativity conference held at Queen’s College, Oxford. When she is not writing, making art, or wandering the world, she lives with her family in a Victorian house in Massachusetts.
Amanda Lenz





Amanda Lenz is an author, illustrator, and graphic designer who grew up in the hollers of Appalachia and now calls the Rocky Mountains home. When she’s not illustrating, she’s outside exploring. She loves crafting stories that highlight the whimsy and magic of the simple moments and relationships all around us. She has illustrated multiple picture books, middle grade books, and children’s activity books for regional presses. Previous design and illustration clients include Adobe, BBC, BMW, Pearson, Starbucks, and Time Magazine, among others.
Piet Marino


In addition to being a local LGBTQ+ activist, a playwright (one-acts only) and—like everyone else—a podcaster, Piet Marino is an Emeritus Professor of English at SUNY Adirondack and an adjunct professor at the University of Florida. He is the author of two critically acclaimed YA novels (written as Peter Marino), Dough Boy and Magic and Misery (now titled Defiant Little Bubbles of Joy), which were both nominated for YALSA’s Best Books for Young Adults. Magic and Misery made Booklist’s Top 10 Fiction for Youth and the ALA Round Table’s Rainbow Books Bibliography.
Trevor James McNeil
Trevor James McNeil is a comedian and ghostwriter hailing from the west coast of Canada. After earning a degree in Art History from the University of Victoria, he began a career as a ghostwriter working for independent publishing companies and contributing work to humor magazines and small presses. He lives in a cabin in the woods by a river.
Cory Shaw
CORY SHAW is an author-illustrator who aspires to passionate storytelling punctuated with moody and introspective art. He likes to twist the mundane into something whimsical and memorable. When not writing or painting, he devises ways to outsmart foxes, discovers the best hiding spots along nature trails, and encourages bunnies to scurry out from under the brush. Cory lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he shares his home with three cubs, a mama bear, and two pups.
